The Orang Utan are among the most intelligent primates in the world, and yet are in danger of becoming extinct. Now is your chance to get up close to this wonderful creature in its natural habitat. Starting our journey in Kuala Lumpur, we travel across the South China Sea to Borneo, where we experience a close encounter with the Orang Utan and witness many unique wildlife in jungle environment. Join us for an unforgettable holiday!
Day 1 - London Departure
Depart London Heathrow for international flight to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Day 2 - Kuala Lumpur arrival
Meet and greet at Kuala Lumpur International Airport and transfer to hotel. In the afternoon, proceed for a half day city tour of Kuala Lumpur. Drive through the lake gardens; with stops at the National Mosque and Independence Square. From there, take a short walk to Central Market, passing the convergence of the Gombak and Klang river at Masjid Jamek, one of the first buildings erected in Kuala Lumpur. Stroll through Chinatown, board the bus and proceed to Kampung Baru, a typical Malay area where most houses are still built in traditional Malay architecture. Our journey continues toward KLCC for a great photo shoot of one of the world's tallest twin towers.

Day 3 - Malacca
Breakfast at hotel. Depart for a full day tour of Malacca. Malacca is located 145km south of Kuala Lumpur. Upon arrival in town see the ruins of the A Famosa fortress and the Dutch Square. then walk across the bridge over the Malacca River to stroll along the streets of old Malacca. Most of the old buildings have been renovated in respect of the original design and converted into curio shops. Visit the Baba Nyonya house museum and proceed for lunch. After lunch, see the Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, the oldest Chinese temple in Malaysia (1645) and the Kampung Kling Mosque, the oldest mosque of Malacca. Proceed for a last stop to Bukit China (Chinese hill), the largest Chinese cemetery outside China before departing to Kuala Lumpur. Most of the visit is a walk about tour. (B/L)
Day 4 - Kuala Lumpur to Kota Kinabalu
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport for flight to Kota Kinabalu. Meet and greet at Kota Kinabalu Airport and transfer to hotel. In the late afternoon, depart from Kota Kinabalu on an overland 2 hours drive via coastal highway Kota Kinabalu / Beaufort, towards the Southwest part of Sabah. Upon arrival afternoon tea with snacks awaits. Depart for a cruise through the tranquillity and serenity of mangroves, nipah palms, scrubs and secondary vegetation. Enjoy the serene setting and nature's river trail, while the Proboscis Monkeys take a good and staring look at you, quite unalarmed by your presence. You may just be able to catch that ultimate in close up photos of such animals found only in Borneo. Other wildlife like Macaque Monkeys, the rare silver Langur, birds and reptiles, flying foxes and water buffalos would greet you occasionally, leaving you with a glimpse of nature in its undisturbed form. The cruise will take a pleasant 1½ hours approximately. While returning (weather permitting), watch the sunset as the daylight fades into dusk and thrill yourself to the spectacular experience of hundreds of fireflies lighting up the trees. Upon return to jetty, traditional Malaysian dinner is served before returning to Kota Kinabalu. (B/D)

Day 5 - Kota Kinabalu
Following an early breakfast we have a pick up from the hotel and transfer to Poring Hot Spring in 3 hours drive. On the way to Kundasang, pass by small towns and villages until stop by at Nabalu Fruit Market for a break. Poring Hot Spring, a natural wonder where hot sulphur spring bubbles out of the earth and a canopy walkway (41m) span for 157m from tree to tree, a rare opportunity to get a bird's eye view of the rainforest. A must visit is the Treetop Canopy Walkway. Proceed for lunch at a nearby resort. After lunch, depart to Kinabalu National Park and enjoy the cool and fresh air of the park. Have a visit to the Exhibition Hall, Slide Show and Mountain Garden (One of the biggest attractions at the Park). Then, return to resort for dinner and overnight. (B/L/D)
Day 6 - Kota Kinabalu to Sandakan
Early morning wake up, breakfast and drive to Sandakan across the ridges of Crocker Range, passing native villages and oil palm estate among others. On arrival at Sandakan town, check-in to your accommodation. The rest of the day is at leisure. (B)

Day 7 - Sandankan / Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre
Moring pick up from hotel in Sandakan to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre (approximately 30 minutes). Proceed to the free roaming area feeding platform and then witness the 10:00 feeding of Orang Utans. At this centre, observe man's closest relative "the Orang Utan" being rehabilitated to become wild in their natural habitat and experience a walk in the Tropical Lowland Dipterocarp Forest of Borneo. At 11:00 depart Sepilok and transfer to the jetty in Sandakan followed by an hour boat cruise up to the Lower Kinabatangan River Sanctuary where you will take your lunch at Abai Jungle Restaurant. This is a wonderful journey of discovery which starts from the waters of Sulu Sea of Sandakan Town through a magnificent scenery of the Mangrove Forest. After lunch, free and relax at our nature board walk before cruising for searching other wildlife. After dinner, a night cruise leads you to witness the fire flies. (B/L/D)
Day 8 - Sandakan to Sukau
Wake up by the calls of nature. Early morning take a river trip to Pitas Oxbow Lake to observe wildlife and experience the uniqueness of the lake. After breakfast is the option to join our tree planting project with the locals and lunch with them at Abai Village. This project is specially designed to help the locals. After lunch, cruise upriver to Sukau village in search of primates, especially the Endemic Proboscis Monkeys, birds and other wildlife. Arrive Sukau and check in at the river lodge. In the late afternoon, take another river cruise to Menanggul River, a small tributary of the Kinabatangan. Dinner and overnight at river lodge. (B/L/D)

Day 9 - Sukau to Kuala Lumpur
After breakfast we depart overland to Gomantong Birdnest Caves. Upon arrival we have a 15 minutes walk on the plank walk to the cave. Explore the largest bird's nest cave in Sabah, home to millions of bats and swiflets. The nests of the swiflets are collected for the famous Chinese edible bird nest soup. Then we continue journey by land to Sandakan, drive up hill to the Puh Jih Syh Chinese Buddhist Temple, which offers a panoramic view of the Sandakan Bay before lunch at the English Tea House. After lunch, proceed to the airport for departure flight to Kuala Lumpur for overnight. (B/L)
