Day 1 - UK Departure
Depart the UK with international flight to Vientiane via Hanoi.
Day 2 - Arrival Vientiane
Upon arrival in Vientiane you will be greeted by English speaking guide and transfer to hotel. Rest of day free at leisure.
Day 3 - Vientiane to Hongsa
Transfer to airport for early morning flight to Houeixai. After immigration transfer directly to local pier of Houeisay to embark traditional boat to Ban Thasouang, via Pakbeng. En-route we stop over to visit Lao Lu at Ban Pak Tha and H’Mong village at Ban Houei Lumpane. Lunch on board or on the sand beach can be organized. Arrive Ban Thasouang before sunset and continue on excursion by car to Hongsa for check in. (B/L/D)
Day 4 - Hongsa Elephant Safari
After breakfast we begin our excursion by elephant and visit local people in Hongsa to see traditional houses on stilts of Lao Lu style. Following lunch we continue visiting local people by car and enjoy Baci ceremony with local people. (B/L/D)
Day 5 - Hongsa to Luang Prabang
This morning we travel by car to Ban Thasouang and then continue on a traditional boat to Luang Prabang. En-route we stop over to visit Ban Lat Han, a traditional Lao Lu village, and the sacred Buddha cave of Tham Ting and Tham Phoume, where enshrined is a hundred Buddha statues. Picnic lunch on board or on the sand beach can be organized. After lunch continue by boat to Luang Prabang and stop over to visit Ban Xang Hai where sticky rice wine distillation can be seen and tasted. Arrive Luang Prabang before sunset and transfer to hotel for check in. (B/L/D)
Day 6 - Luang Prabang
Today we visit the main highlights of Luang Prabang: Vat Visoune, Vat Aham, Phousi hill (for overlooking the view of Luang Prabang) and Vat Mai Souvannaphoumarame. Lunch at Pakhouei Mixay Restaurant. Afternoon is spent visiting Vat Xieng Thong, the most beautiful of Luang Prabang, a goldsmith, blacksmith and the weaving village of Ban Phanom, and then watch the sunset at Vat Phabath Tai. (B/L/D)
Day 7 - Luang Prabang to Vientiane
Our last day in Luang Prabang is spent at the National Museum and local market until our transfer to the airport for the flight to Vientiane (flights operate Mon, Tue, Thu and Sat only). You will be greeted upon arrival at Vientiane airport and then transfer to hotel for check in. After lunch at Kua Lao Restaurant we visit the main highlights of Vientiane: Vat Sisaket, Ho Phrakeo, Patouxai, and That Luang stupa. (B/L/D)
Day 8 - Vientiane Departure
Following breakfast we visit the morning market the central shopping area of Vientiane before our transfer to the airport for departure. (B)
