Day 1 - UK Departure

Depart the UK with international flight to Phnom Penh via Saigon.

Day 2 - Arrival in Phnom Penh

Welcome on arrival in Phnom Penh International Airport and then your guide will transfer you to the hotel for check-in. After a rest enjoy lunch at city restaurant and then visit the National Museum, Silver Pagoda, Royal Palace and Wat Phnom. Your day ends with a sunset cruise on the Mekong River. (L/D)

Day 3 - Phnom Penh

This morning we visit the Genocide Museum Tuol Sleng (former prison during Khmer Rouge regime 1975-1978) and the killing field Choeung Ek. In the afternoon we continue to visit Weaving Village at Kien Svay, 16 Km east of Phnom Penh. (B/L/D)

Day 4 - Phnom Penh / Oudong (Former Capital)

Today we have a morning drive to Oudong ancient capital. A number of Kings were crowned in Oudong such as King Norodom. Oudong appears as Two symmetrical Hills divided in large and small ridges called Phnom Penh Reach Throap (Royal Fortune Hill) - so named because a 16th Century Khmer King hid national treasury here during war with Thai. We will also visit a Silver Smith in Kampong Luong. In the afternoon visit buildings of French colonial architecture such as Phnom Penh Municipality, National Library and other such buildings. Day 5 - Phnom to Kampot

After breakfast we drive to Takeo, where we take a boat trip to visit ancient capital of Angkor Borei during Fun era. Here we visit Phnom Da from the 7th century and then head back to Angkor Borei for visit of District Museum. Then take the boat trip back to Takeo-Ville for Lunch. After Lunch we drive to Kampot. Day 6 - Kampot to Phnom Penh

In the morning we drive to Kampong Trach to visit a cavern complex containing one of the earliest recorded discoveries of Indian artefacts in the country. There is a brick prasat within the cavern that dates from the Funan period (1st-6th Century). This temple is dedicated to Shiva and provides the first example of solely Indian influenced architecture. Enjoy a picnic lunch and then head back to Phnom Penh. (B/L/D)

Day 7 - Phnom Penh to Siem Reap

Early morning drive to Kampong Thom for a visit to Sambor Prei-Kuk temples from the 7th century. In the afternoon drive to Siem Reap, visiting on the way an ancient Bridge from the 12th Century in Kampong Kdei District. Upon arrival in Siem Reap you check-in to your hotel. (B/L/D)

Day 8 - Siem Reap

This morning we go to the South Gate of Angkor Thom and view Complex Bayon, Elephants Terrace, Leper King, Baphuon and Phimean Akas temples. Following lunch are the following temples; Takeo, Taprohm, Banteay Kdei, Sras Srang and Krovan. Experience an ox-cart ride to see Green Village located along the way to Phnom Krom (Tonle Sap). Day 9 - Siem Reap

This morning we have breakfast en route to visit the famous temples of Banteay Srei and Banteay Samre. In the afternoon we visit the world famous Angkor Wat, followed by sunset views from the top of Bakheng Hill. This evening enjoy a traditional Khmer foot massage for one hour in the city. (B/L/D)

Day 10 - Siem Reap

Morning is spent visiting PreRup, Mebon, Tasom, Neak Poan and Preah Khan temples. Later we visit Wat Athovea before an excursion by boat to the fishing Village at Tonle Sap Lake. (B/L/D)

Day 11 - Siem Reap

Today we travel to Koh Ker, a former capital in the 10th century of the Angkorian empire, one of the most remote temple sites in Cambodia. There are a remarkable number of religious buildings in Koh Ker region. A picnic lunch will be served at the temple site. After lunch we head back to Siem Reap and visit Beng Melea temple. Beng Melea is a spectacular sight to behold, one of the most mysterious temples at Angkor. This 12th Century temple is similar in design to Angkor Wat, located right in the middle of the old Angkorian road between Angkor Thom and Preah Khan in Preah Vihear. (B/L/D)

Day 12 - Siem Reap Departure

Free time until transfer to airport for departure flight. (B)
